I have been training with Adam for close to a year. I have found as a PT, Adam tailor's my workouts based on my goals i.e. to increase strength and build muscle while also taking into account that I have no cartilage on both knees. Always central to my training sessions, is to perform exercises that are low impact on my knees. This by no means involves gentle exercises; the workouts rival any high intensity classes. Adam is very skilled in the personal training field both in terms of experience and sports management qualifications. It takes an expert to train someone with health issues and improve their fitness without further detriment to their health. In my experience most PTs or gym trainers I have trained with in the past, believe high impact exercises are the only way to achieving fitness. Adam's motto is that achieving fitness is not a one size fits all and health concerns do not prevent anyone willing to work on their fitness from doing so. It goes without saying; make sure to get your GP sign off before engaging in any exercise. Adam has encouraged me to continue working out to a point where taking rest days requires super human will power. I get by with yoga on rest days. I really do enjoy training with Adam but even more so when the workouts are done
Adam Polaszewski is a Five Star trainer. We have worked for three hours a week over several years, and I am always energized and never sore. He is a great professional who knows exactly how hard to train to achieve these perfect results.
Working with Adam is fantastic - I can see and feel the results daily. I've managed to not just gain strength and agility but feel healthier and sleep better. He keeps things easy to understand and really works to be individual ability - making things harder or a bit easier as needed each session. He also makes it a fun!.
Making the decision to work with a Personal Trainer is challenging enough in itself. The good thing about Adam is that with his qualification as a Physiotherapist, he develops a training programme for the person to help them achieve their own goals without trying to fit that person to a standard workout. In that way the person develops from whatever their physical level may be without risk of injury and in a way and at a speed that is suitable for them. I am over 65 and have worked with Adam, who is delightful and encouraging, for over two years now and have felt and seen the results that can be achieved.
Before Adam came into my life just over a year ago I had not exercised for a decade and I loathed the idea of doing so again. But, at seventy two I could feel my strength, flexibility and resilience draining away. I was winded after climbing a short flight of stairs; I ached after a walk around the garden with my dogs and, worst of all, I was terribly stiff when I got out of bed in the mornings. Something had to be done before I turned into a bent old woman dependent on a stick. But, after spending decades doing ballet; aerobics; Pilates and yoga I was nervous. Could I keep up with a class? Would a trainer push me too hard? Would I look and feel ridiculous? Then a good friend recommended Adam and, after my first session, with him, I knew that I had found the answer. As well as being a thoroughly competent; cheerful and punctual trainer Adam is also a qualified Physiotherapist who knows exactly how to tailor my workouts to my age and physical fitness. He never made me do anything I could not do and after each session I felt better than I had before it. I now train with him for five hours a week and look forward to each session. I am much stronger than I was a year ago. I can run up short flights of stairs again; walk my dogs without aching and stand up straight first thing in the morning. My balance has also improved and with it my confidence. I feel happier and, dare I say it, younger. Adam is also flexible in his approach. As my job frequently takes me abroad we have devised a system of shorter Face Time workouts. I am pleasantly surprised by how well these work and very glad that he is willing to do them. Without the impetus Adam’s presence supplies I simply do not, with the best will in the world, seem able to make time for my sessions. But Face Time appointments work just as well as ordinary ones. I would not hesitate to recommend – indeed I frequently do so – to anyone looking to improve their fitness and enjoyment of life.
We have been working with Adam for over a year. While we'd both had personal trainers before, no one combined Adam's deep knowledge of physiology and targeted fitness training. This makes him an exceptional personal trainer who pushes us to our very limits while avoiding injury. Adam keeps detailed records (or he has a phenomenal memory) allowing him to optimise each session as our strength and conditioning improve. He gives us challenging exercises which require minimal equipment ensuring we can continue to train alone and when travelling. In short, we are huge fans and hope to work him for many years to come.
I have been training weekly with Adam for over two years now. Working up in the city is not beneficial to health. Adam has been managing my return to health and has got me to a point of fitness I last achieved in my early twenties. All of this without a single injury. His knowledge of the human physique and how best to train it is phenomenal so much so that even my father who is in his late seventies has thoroughly enjoyed his sessions as well.
Adam has trained me for the last 3 years and is excellent. I got great results with weight loss and toning post 2 pregnancies. Adam will challenge you without injury as he is a trained physio. I always had energy after each session and never felt totally exhausted. There is a great balance of hard work without hugs stress on the body. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for results! He is happy to train you anywhere and in any amount of space!
I started training with Adam nearly 3 years ago as I wanted to lose weight and become healthier before I turned 40. I knew him from spinning classes I took in Putney so I thought “why not, I'll give it a go”. When I started, I wasn't really sure how it would work out as I had another PT a few years back but didn’t have a very positive experience then. Adam was very patient with me and never trained me to the point of exhaustion or pain. Nor did he tell me what not to eat as long as I ate healthily and didn’t drink too much which was relatively easy to do. Over the last 3 years or so, I've lost over 20kgs and dropped 3 dress sizes from a size 14 to a size 8 -10 by working out regularly and making small changes to my lifestyle! As a result, I am much more confident and happy with the way I look and feel. Now I know how to train on my own in addition to training with Adam and know that I will never go back to the unhealthy body that I was for most of my adult life!
Adam is a great personal trainer who has not only helped me achieve fantastic results, but has done so with a very different focus compared to most normal PTs. I was recommend to Adam by a friend who mentioned his unique approach and background as a qualified physiotherapist, which was particularly appealing given a history of knee injuries and operations. My first sessions with Adam were all about "form" and maintaining this throughout all exercises. The focus was not just on pushing me to the next level, but doing so in such a way that it did not put unnecessary stress on my ligaments / joints. I have now been happily training with Adam for almost 2 years, and while the exercises are now much more difficult and challenging, the focus always remains on form! With a demanding job, it is a great bonus that Adam is very flexible when it comes to scheduling sessions; we have had sessions at 11pm, over the Christmas holidays and Monday through to Sunday. All in all, I would most definitely recommend Adam as he will help you achieve great results, at any time of the day or week, without putting you at risk of long-term damage.
I started training with Adam three years ago to get in shape for my wedding, and I have trained with him ever since. He is unlike other trainers - he doesn't absolutely 'kill' you by doing endless circuits - instead he does a tailored programme of more productive exercises that gets much better results. After just a few sessions I noticed a big difference in my body. I looked leaner and felt stronger. He really understands the body having been a physio and listens to me to help me achieve my goals. Also, going to him motivates me so much for the rest of the week - in what I eat and also what other exercise I do. He is a really nice character and a lovely presence. I have recommended him to all my friends and feel very lucky that he was recommended to me three years ago. I would like to stay training with him for as long as I can.
In the hectic pace of today's world it is so nice to be able to take an hour and spend it training with Adam. I found Adam when I was looking to get in shape for my wedding. Now over a year after the wedding my training sessions are still a very important part of my weekly life. Adam is an awesome trainer and a great guy! His sessions are all about maximizing results while making sure you are using proper technique to train. He makes sure you are training safely so you do not get injured. He customizes each session for the results you are trying to achieve but mixes up the routines each session so you are never bored. He is honest about what will work and what wont while also sharing dietary advice. There is no get fit quick solution but if you are serious about being in the best shape you can be Adam is the best trainer you will ever find. And did I mention he is a really nice guy with an excellent sense of humor. You will be very happy you started training with Adam!
Training wth Adam means training smart by focusing on the right exercises and the correct form to avoid wear, tear and injury. Adam designed a program to complement the cardio and other exercise I do on my own and to work on those areas that my other exercise does not cover. His work outs help me avoid injury and help with any issues I've had in the past. My back has never felt better. The routines are different during each session and he continuously changes them to adapt to the changes and strengthening in your body and to keep challenging you.
